Horses & Ponies
There are at present 26 horses and ponies on the yard. Some of these are liveries, some are working liveries and the rest are owned by us.
At the lower end of the scale, we start with 11.2 hh Sam, and have five other ponies ranging from 12 hh to 14.2 hh.
Our horses are a mixture of cobs, thoroughbreds, Iberian and various crosses, with the tallest of our own horses being Harry, a Shire x Hanoverian x TB cross, standing at 17.2 hh (a gentle giant!). He has now been joined by Josh, a purebred Clydesdale and working livery, who is available for beginner lessons.
All of them are lunged, long-reined or ridden by our instructors on a regular basis to ensure that they maintain their good manners and to improve their work.
