Most children have private lessons although some choose to ride with friends, siblings or even parents.




All riders start off on the lead rein (Grade 1) and only progress to working off the lead rein (Grade 2) once they have mastered the basics of position, turning, rising trot, etc. This builds their confidence in themselves and their ponies.

To encourage them to make progress, they can get a certificate once they have passed a Grade. The higher the Grade, the more fun they can have with doing new things!
